Match Submission Basics
This is what you'll need qualify your match!
Camera:
Must be able to shoot in 1080i, you do not need a full HD Camera, but it will help the look of your match. Typically theses cameras will run about $300
Onboard microphones, as good as they have become, still don't work the greatest. That's why you need a durable shotgun microphone to get the general area in front of the camera and we recomend this guy.
Holding a Camera for hours on end can wear out the strongest of guys, and cause bad video. This is what we have found to work the best on a budget!
Optional Equipment:
We recomend a wide angle lens, .5x or higher. Anything less and you start getting bad distortion.
A Dead Cat for your Microphone, onboard or shotgun. You can by synthetic fur at a hobby store and sew on yourself for cheap.
Extra Video Cards and Batteries, because the stock stuff only last about an hour.
A tripod, because it comes in handy every once in a while.
Lense cleaning rags, water and dust will create bad images.
LCD Screen Hood, because the sun will always out shine a 3 inch screen in the summer.
Go Pro's and sports camera are Great for B footage, but don't use a primary camera. WE WILL NOT USE YOUR VIDEO IF YOU DO THIS!
Camera Glasses have worked out well, but are pricey and have limited use.
Quad Copter, seriously? Are you trying to show us up? Well, if you can get your hands on one, or know somebody that is happy to help out, GO FOR IT. We can't afford one yet.
